1. FRANK ROMUALD1 WILMA (Ignatz, #2) 1, 2 was born on 7 Feb 1890 at Winona, MN, named for his mother's brother Frank Potratz. 3, 4 He married Elsie Oleaf Dorn, daughter of William Dorn and Susan Eugenia Peterson, on 10 Aug 1915 at Malta, Montana. 5 He married Aleathia S. (--?--) circa 1979 at Kelso, WA. 6, 7 He died on 31 Oct 1980 at Kelso, WA, at age 90 while working in his garden. 8, 9 He was buried in Longview Memorial Park. 10
He was educated at a Catholic school. 11 Frank left home early to apprentice on a farm, then headed to northern California to work on an aquaduct project. He found work as a sheepherder in Phillips County, Montana and there met Elsie. They homesteaded near Wagner. On 18 Oct 1920 they auctioned the farm and all the stock and equipment and moved to Washington (auctioned his farm and all stock and equipment). 12 Frank was a heavy construction foreman, a pile bum or pile buck, along the Columbia River. The family settled in Kelso in 1923. After floods damaged his home in 1933, he became the local dike commissioner for more than thirty years. 13
